The public is invited to attend a special conference on “The Eight Mysteries of the New Testament” with Arnold Fruchtenbaum Jan. 27-30 at Berean Bible Church in Hilo.
The sessions at the church at 420 Lama St. will be presented on the following schedule: Sunday, Jan. 27, at 10:45 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 28, 29 and 30, all at 7 p.m.
Fruchtenbaum is director of Ariel Ministries, a Messianic Jewish organization composed of Jews and Gentiles who believe in the Messiahship of Jesus. Born in Siberia, Russia, after his parents were released from a Communist prison, he received Orthodox Jewish training while a young boy and came to New York with his family in 1951.
He received his training in theology at Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio, and at Dallas Theological Seminary, and earned a Ph.D. from New York University.
Fruchtenbaum studied Hebrew, archaeology and ancient history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. It was during this time that the now historic Six-Day War broke out between Israel and the Arab nations. Because of his first-hand observations of this critical period in Israel’s history, and his study of the role of the nation of Israel in God’s plan of world redemption, he is often asked to speak at Bible conferences throughout the United States and other parts of the world.
Admission is free, and refreshments will be provided after the evening sessions. Child care will be available. For more information, please contact 935-6401. Visit www.ariel.org or www.hilobereans.com.
